Will these tires fit?
Hi,
Just a quick question. I'm thinking of putting some snow tires on my sport package rims. The tire size is 235 45 r17. Normal size tires are 225 45 r17 front and 255 40 r17 on the back(I believe the rim size is 8.5). Would there be any issues with this set-up? Thanks |

You're good to go. You are looking at about a 1.4% speedo error.
edit: As an example, the Dunlop M3s in that size accept a rim width of 7.5 to 9". I'd still put the wider rims on the rear.
