This car is truly insane. If I had driven one before I bought the M3 I would'nt have bought the Beemer.
The beemer is more composed though - you can tell why it's faster around a track. But this thing is much faster for ALL other applications DMS remap these to 530bhp!!! |

Congrats Amar, great pictures of an awesome car. I want one!
Are you buying Andrew's C63 with PP+ off him in six months time? |

Peter, it won't be for sale Well, not in 6 months anyway.
I've now got another £50 bet with Tony that I can't keep it for a year. I'll be damned if I'm paying out £100 to you two so it'll be staying. (Note: upgrading it to a Brabus B63S does not count as changing the car!!) At least I now seem to have a collection date (though no thanks to my MB dealer who have really let me down, the tossers) - should be on 26th April. Roll on the next 3 weeks! |

The arrival of a little one meant I needed 4 doors.....or at least it meant I had an excuse As I said M3 is far more composed, so I'm not surprised by its superiority on the track but the C63 has me grinning all the time. It's a complete hooligan and much more fun. One major plus point is the build quality - it's much better than the M3 - no squeaks or rattles. I've driven my own M3 and 2 others (1 saloon) all had the odd annoying sound coming from somewhere - the merc however is totally solid. Odd that since their build qulity was so shit until recently. |

Just to add the C63 AMG with the right options is a better car than the M3. Get some pics up buddy.

I think what Mercedes have done with the C63 is quite clever. They did'nt try and compete with the M3 on the track. It drives totally differently, its essentially an auto with a 'manual' option. It reminds me of my hot hatch days. A really fast road car Of course if I could afford it - I'd have both!! |

Was it as much as that. Maybe I'm thinking of another track comparison where they were close.

I've had my C63 for a few months now and it took me a while to like it properly.
Initially i liked it but for some reason i still prefered my 335d and even considered getting rid of the C63 for an M3. Now though after we've spent more time together, i absolutely love her now Its probably been helped by some drier weather recently and now realise fully how different a turbo diesel is than a N/A petrol engine. Looks wise, the BMW still just edges it for me and the C63 is a grower for looks. What a car does around a track isn't really of interest to me - its how they perform on the road as thats what i use them for.
