iDrive to non idrive

Hi Guys

I really can't stand the i-Drive in our touring, its the old one and literally don't ever use it and its more of a pain in the arse than anything.

Am I going to cause more further problems down the line removing it and going back to the good old days and use my double din head unit I have got, it does far more than my idrive does and the fact i can get a better sound out of my speakers and add a boot install is more appealing to me than a button on the centre console

I am sure it can be done but will cost money to do it and will probably lose money on resale when it comes to it. Non i drive cars sell for less from what i have seen. Personally i would not buy a bmw without i drive even if i did not use it.

To me this seems incredible, but if you do remove it I'd be happy to talk to you about buying the parts from you!

You'd be better selling your I drive model and buying another none i-drive car. Or getting your I drive updated to the newer style.

For the money you will spend removing it and changing it around etc your best probably paying abit more and installing the newer CIC Idrive.
