Water methanol on a m57
Questions for you guys using water methanol on a m57 engine.
1) where did you buy it? Uk or USA 2) how did you fit it yourself? Or a garage and who/ where mapped it for you 3) can you use screen wash fluid I read you can? |

You can buy meth from bonnymans or eBay.
I've not heard of anyone doing this with a 330d. But no reason why not. Give the guys at www.methanol-injection.co.uk a call/email...

Cool, I am considering meth and the Wagner inter cooler to make more power!
The 330d is not much different to the 35d just the turbo configuration, only plus side for me is less hassle in the 30d than the 35d and less chance of problems! I'm surprised I have had no replies, I had a few replies the my post about the Wagner saying the standard intercooler is fine. Well at Germany three weeks ago I kinda proved that the standard intercooler was not so good! But surprise surprise I never got a reply once I posted my results. Do you know anyone using the above link in the uk? Dan |

They are in the UK. They are a devilsown distributor.
I'll likely buy my meth tank from them - I currently use the windscreen washer bottle for this..

Mines a 335i - Pretty common mod for those with JB4/procede as these have built in meth integration.
Had it on for 25,000 miles, no issues with the meth. Well unless you count clutch slip from 510lb/ft of torque! Solved with a spec clutch.. I want a boot mounted tank for safety and to run slightly higher concentrations.

I mate i've done bit with WMI on my previous 1.8turbo golf, ran devilsown system with maf based controller with dual nozzle set 1 after intercooler and 1 after throttle body. I run bmw indi in wigan and considering taking/ advertising WMI fitments here soon, but all depends on what people want. Had no probs with devil kits lad down south bruce who is main seller over here knows his stuff for devilsown.

Hi, thanks for the reply, couple of questions with the devils own kit.
Does it need the map tweeking to suite the kit? Also what do you use for methanol I.e concentrations and what product? Second how flammable is it, as I seen of a few posts in the USA section where some 35i have had localised fires? Also how does it work? When I turn it on or when it wants to inject? |
