Since you're in Philly, stop by the shop and check out the FMIC.

I don't usually post in these, "what should I get next?" threads. But if you don't even have the factory oil cooler, that should be a serious consideration. Even BMW realized the N54 needed it after having to retrofit a bunch of vehicles. I bet Helix could do both an oil cooler and FMIC for you for close to your budget.

Chargepipe-300
And upgrade to G5board-150
that should all be about $1,350 or so, so youll have a little cash floating around if im right on this

I would do DP's (turbos will thank u), FMIC (for IATS), and a JB 4. That should put a smile on ur face.

But don't forget suspension work down the road. With extra power comes the need for a suspension that can handle it. And I'm not talking about just new tires.

Lol, well since it's winter, half the mods make no sense:

I mean you don't wanna drive around with nice wheels in the snow and salt.
FMIC won't do anything if tempts are already freezing lmao
Meth you'll only see half the benefits of meth but still spend money filling the tank
Cheap coilovers will rust and car will become snowplow

Might as well just get the navi lmao

helix looks like a great product, an im all about philly. I know the guys down VAC an there very helpful. I also got my DPs from fab speed "20 miles away", an if you never heard of them you should look them up! But the 900-1000$ price tag is a real turn off! But i will call them directly an see what they say, i work in a Body Shop so most places work with me.

If I remember correctly KW and Bilstein coil overs are made from inox steel which is rust proof

I would say if you are going to mod the car more an FMIC is a priority at some point.

Regarding your request for a double din nav with the temperature unit located at the bottom, I have a setup that I bought from metra:

If you're not gonna use Meth & want a 5" FMIC (minimum cutting & best applications for street cars that might see the occasionally track day), the Helix is #1 with it's stepped design.

If it's a bit out of budget, I'd recommend the Active Autowerke Sport FMIC. I'd also recommend the G5 board upgrade for the JB4 so you can more effective run E85 (which will give you race gas performance for ~$3.70/gal).

Problem is if you decide to buy coilovers (whether they're KW, H&R, TEIN, etc), they're going to eat up essentially all of your $1,500 budget. If suspension mods are more important at this point, then buy whatever coilover kit best suits your needs. If it's not that important, I'd recommend looking into sport springs (Eibach, H&R, TEIN, etc) and wait until the spring to get coilovers when you'll be able to enjoy them.

Wavetrac. And if you can swing it either the M3-spec rear subframe bushings or the M3-spec front lower control arm set.

That's the one that doesn't fit, correct? It juts out at the bottom and looks cheap.

This one looks way more professional:
