I've heard that it was much better if it was applied when the car is still new...

If you're talking about the paint warranty... it seems to me pretty hard to demonstrate that your car is less shiny after 12 years than when you bought it... requesting to get it repainted for free
(even if that's true...)

I might let that paint get super hard, first. A month or two or three. I use Klasse with very good results. Twice a year.

Im betting that paint warranty is warranty against a manufacturer defect, like rust. not if your paint is less shiny after 12 years

as for my wax, its Meguiars NXT all the way, I love that stuff so much. Ive heard really good things about zaino and i might try it on my E90 when it comes, id like to start fresh if i change to a new wax.

No matter what you apply the shine will fade, it might fade a little less with good wax but 50% of it is physiology..

Trigun...if you switch, try Klasse. It lasts as long as Zaino and takes a lot less time to apply it. Good for 9 months (so they say) I apply it every six months (Spring and Fall). My black Z4 looks good even when its dirty.

Trex, is Klasse totally synthetic like Zaino? Can you layer it as much as you want? What do you do to maintain between waxings? Thanks.

Question

I picked up an E46 (one of the last ones) about 4 months ago..I put 3 coats of Zaino on it 10 hoursa after i bought it and the car still looks like glass...I plan to put a few coats on the E90 next week right after picking it up..I dont think it will hurt..

Also, how does Klasse compare to Zaino? I only heard about the stuff recently..

I seen results from Klasse, the directions are really easy compared to Zanio. Klasse and Klasse All In One i think been around a while and tons of people on detailing websites swear by it. I use Poorboys EXP.

Re: Zanio

It's awful! Doesn't last long! Lots of work to apply too! If you change brands it is hard to remove. I would not use this product!

What about SIMONIZ'ing the car, which many dealerships offer. Is this any good?
