BMW PE Drone?? NEED HELP!!

So, i got Performance exhaust installed to my E92 330i 09'

Problem: it was like vibrations coming from the engine / instrument cluster, or somewhere around there. only happens in 2000RPM, it happens when i drive the car to 3000-4000 RPM (car travelling at 40-50 MPH) then i let go the gas pedal making the RPM down to around 1000 (but car still travelling around 25MPH) then hit the gas pedal again and when it hits around 1700-2000 RPM the vibrations happens.

i already notice this problem since last week and decided to drop my car in BMW,, the dealer said there was no trouble in the component, they only reprogram the car??

pick the car up today, got so excited. i thought everything's gonna be solved.
IS THIS DRONE ??? if it is i have no problem with it, cause i understand cars fitted with exhaust mods will dronee...

DESPERATELY NEED HELP !!!

Oh, it's *only* vibration? Then yeah it's possible that something is loose or vibrating against something under your car. Must have misread your OP.

I dont think the the clamps or exhaust touched the car, but its like the vibrations comes from front...

its no problem since it only often happen, but its just that its like the car's forcing, and i dont want new problems come again..
does anyone ever know "DRONE" but only with vibrations coming from front..

i believe the dealer inspect the engines, already and find there's no problem..
maybe is it the clutch???

THANKS A LOT GUYS.

It's a BMW performance exhaust- of course it's going to drone.
Hated my BMW PE - it was raspy and sounded like a damn Ferrari coming down the block. Cold starts would give me a migraine and when it warmed up it wasn't much better.
The damn flaps are open all the time- that's the problem there's no refinement- it's like an unruly brat.
One of the main reasons I sold mine within a month and went with a DINAN exhaust.
My E92 328 PE sounded so much better.

That might be the case for your 335i, but for the OP and his n52 the PE is the BEST option, and provides the best sound.

I think its just some loose part inside the car which vibrates with with exhaust. its not drone. in 6MT i hear some vibration noise if I push gas at lower speed in higher gear.

I would take it back to whoever installed it - sounds like something wasn't done right. I have had the PE for over a year with zero drone

Since the PE is muffler-only, any vibrations coming from the FRONT of the car would not have anything to do with the PE, unless they completely removed the entire exhaust system to install the PE muffler, which isn't very likely.

Both E90 & E92 N51/N52 BMW PE systems include resonator delete midpipe in addition to the muffler

You cut off the stock exhaust about 6in back from 2ndary cats, and the PE midpipes clamp on - then PE muffler clamps to midpipe.

So they definitely mess with components under the front of the car, including the brace that runs under the midpipes toward the front

Components vibrating in the cabin is not drone, & is not normal after PE install. I have zero drone with PE on my 09 328iX & no vibration - installed it myself to ensure it was done correctly...

Didn't read the whole thread, but here are my thoughts

The BMW PE for n52 does NOT DRONE AT ALL. There should be NO VIBRATIONS. Your installation was done poorly

The PE on my wife's 128i was muffler-only; completely axle-back. If that for the 328i includes a mid-pipe, my mistake for not realizing that. All that said, we have no drone in the 128i convertible with a PE, and I would not think it normal in a properly-installed 328 system as well.
