Ok, I think I need just a little help. I've installed/patched BMW Standard Tools 2.12 and can read my VIN, etc. Then when I change to CAS module, it doesnt give me the option to read ECU. Only "Change Job" and "Execute Job". Did these options change with the new software? Is there a "Job" I need to select from the list it gives me to read the ecu (CAS)?

What do you mean when you say "read ECU"?

EDIT: Oh, I see now (F4 read ECU), it is weird, did you try to install German version? Mine is working good and I can read ECU.

Hmm...So I installed BMW ST 2.12, patched the exe, then added a bunch of missing files including the daten files (V48.1). After I moved over the "missing files" some of the menu buttons changed to English, which was really helpful. Maybe I'll reinstall, patch the exe, and only copy the daten files.

Are you using a 64 bit OS? I can't seem to get any further.

Yes, I use 64bit OS, but I didn't use patch or anything. I work with German language version. Maybe here is the issue.

Thanks for your files. I could install the Bmw tools. However, I could not run the tool. It said it is required to run on WinXP. I am using Win7 64 bit OS. Do you know what I am missing here in order to set up the tool?
Thanks.

The 64 bit version has glitches and doesnt allow you to read individual ECU (F4) button. Its a known issue.

Mine can read ECU, but I use German language version, I think that conversion from DE to EN makes this issue.

All Standard Tool works on my Win 7 64 bits.

The problem I had, is that I couldn't modify the profile because the password didn't work. That is why I patched it.
