LSD install

Anyone know of a good mechanic/shop in the Pittsburgh, PA area or Columbus, OH area to do a LSD install? Im looking to pick up a Wavetrac LSD for my E92. Im looking for a place that has a good reputation. I live in the northern panhandle of WV and finding someone that does good work and has experience is hard. Pittsburgh and Columbus are the 2 biggest cities closest to me, but if you have a suggestion of somewhere close to those I'm open to them as well. I think I'm just going to buy a pumpkin from a vendor on here then have a shop do the install. Thanks in advance.

Go to VAC Motorsports in Phili -- It's a hike but guaranteed it's the best place to get an LSD installed. Otherwise you can send them your pumpkin, they'll do the fabrication & mail it back to you.

I plan on ordering a pumpkin from them or another reputable shop, I'm looking to find a shop to do the swap close to me. Unfortunately, Philadelphia is over 350 miles from me.

Do I need to buy anything else other than oil if I'm doing a pumpkin swap? And cansome1 link a good DIY, I tried search and cant find one thats just a pumpkin swap. I think i'm actually going to tackle this job myself since I just gained free access to a lift.

I'm doing mine myself this weekend. Depending on the pumpkin, you might need to get new shaft seal rings as well, and new locking bolts. I'm actually going to attempt to take the diff apart and replace the diff internally, which requires high-precision digital calipers and backlash indicators.

Do you have the 52mm thin driveshaft wrench? AR Design makes one http://www.ardesign.info/store/bmw/e...tall-tool.html

Good luck!

Ive heard HPA sends the seals included when u buy a complete final drive, and their price is slightly cheaper than VAC, so I think I'm going with them now. I'm holding off on the wrench because the garage I have access to has a plethora of tool as the owner is a master mechanic. If not, I'm gona see if a used AR wrench is floating around. Good luck to you as well
