Thanks for the guide. I just completed this installation myself on a 2011 335D w/ MTech front bumper, and it was quick and easy.

what size (self-taping) screws did you use to mount onto your bumper? I have an 335i m-tech front bumper myself...

I just used 3M tape from Autozone to secure my mount, we'll see how it holds, I guess.

I'm quite the perfectionist myself. That was the first thing I saw. It's off to the passenger side by a good inch or more. And the passenger side dips lower by about a half an inch. If you can't notice that it's crooked, use the intercooler fins at the bottom of the plate as reference lines. It's a good fin and a half difference.

I've seen other retractable lic plate holder but I like the way this sneaks in all the way from view. Do you mind pm me the vendor or link for purchase? Thanks

This is actually pretty cool ^^^

in all my time on this forum I've never seen this thread. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be contributing in my lifetime but I oddly just got a good chuckle after seeing the thread title for some reason
