Stolen steering wheel

Mrs Chappers sister had her X1 broken into last night & the steering wheel stolen, the car was on her drive & they didn't hear a thing.
She got in it to go out this afternoon & no steering wheel. Funny
Has anyone got a steering wheel for a X1 for sale?

Robbing gits!! Just as a point of interest , depending on the year of the X1 e90 steering wheels will fit. The M sport and sport wheels are compatible with the X1 air bag if they have left it. Failing that you maybe able to pick up a cheap e92 se sport wheel and air bag as that should fit earlier X1’s. I’ve got an X1 wheel on my E90 , I paid for mine though

How bazaar!

I'm guessing that's the most valuable thing to grab in under a few minutes ?

Thanks for the offer, she reported it to her insurance company & they are dealing with it. I suspect she'll now be paying an increased premium for the next 5 years

Thanks for the info, the airbag went with the steering wheel. Apparently one of her neighbours also had the steering wheel stolen of their 5 series the same night. This is the tenth bmw steering wheel stolen from Aylesford in Kent area over the last 3 days.
Her neighbours 5 series has a hole made in drivers door just below & to the left of the door handle & they sprayed expanding foam up into the rear of the back wheel arch

I’ll have to keep my eye out then as I’m in north Kent so not far. Any idea what the purpose of the foam was?

I was wondering about that, my best guess it was to neutralise the alarm

Would a F07 GT M Sport steering wheel be any good, I replaced the one in mine when I did the paddle conversion, I fitted one from a 640 with paddles.

Thanks for the offer but she's going through her insurance & having the work done at the local main dealers.

My friends had the steering wheel stolen from their 2008 320d MSport. Never heard a thing, came out & there it was - gone! BMW sorted it though the insurance. Not the cheapest way of doing it, but as they're non-tech people it was their only option.
