previous map - seem better with autotune off.
with this lastest revision - it may seem it's work'n better, but
road test'n will say.

way more aggressive map - i don't know if it's because i have rev 2.5 board
or if it's a combo of map and board. I'm driving a bit differently - trying to
adjust for the power on the lower gears. it's almost time to dyno again.

i'm loving the maps!! really happy with the results. tested the car again now at nigth and the car holds boost nicely. the car is definatively faster, and now i do need better tires. my next mod will be new tires and LSD.

post a screenshot of your user settings. It's hard to know without first knowing your starting values. A log would help as well.

Here's what I would do:

Map 1: Use these settings.

Max boost: 14
Start boost: 35
IC: 50

Change wastegate position to 90.1961

goto command center and mode 3, reset 12 through 1 and do 3 pulls in 3rd gear. Let the car rest for 15 mins and then log a 3rd gear pull.

Post the log, this will let us know how aggressive you are based on conditions and octane. Log RPM, Boost, Actual Ign Advance, Ign correction, IAT, AFR bank 1, boost control set point, can dbw throttle

We'll make adjustments based on results.

-Jose

90% is actually the default position. Lately the maps have been coming with 70, so you need to adjust. You want to keep this value as high as possible as it affects boost response.

What is the main difference between the 3 revision boards vishnu offers.... I'm not sure what the benefits are. I currently have the 2.0 board.

In a nutshell:

If you're going to go the meth route -> get rev 2.5
If you're not going to get meth -> stay with rev 2

rev 3 is useless for us at the moment.

So what is the consensus with these new maps? How does it compare to the previous maps? Did we ever find out from Shiv what exactly is different with these new maps?

I saw a few of you have tried it but surely there are more of you who has tried it.

I got the update a couple days ago. It pulls for days. i turned off autotune and on gas gauge im hitting 14 psi but im pretty sure thats incorrect. According to logs im hitting almost 16 psi. I need to purchase a boost gauge. The car feels amazing tho, I went wot in 3rd lsat night at around 40mph and my tires spun lol

How safe is this to run without the auto tune setting?

Everyone has different mods so I dont understand how this can be better.. In some cases it can be too lean or too rich.

If you feel your car a whole lot better, chances are it could be lean.

I've been running without auto tune is it is fine. With auto tune on I'm getting a boost modulation....Shiv is still focused on the N54 community....We are the red headed step child for now.

Hey Ian, do a long pull from low RPM in 2nd all the way to redline and then into 3rd (as much as you can before you need to slow down).

Plot the following:

View 1: RPM and CAN DBW Throttle
View 2: Fuel trim bank 1 and 2
View 3: Boost and IAT
View 4: AFR bank 1 and 2
View 5: CAN Actual Ign Adv and Ign Cor
