Gah that splitter is gorgeous! Can you post a link to where you got it?

The splitter is from APR Performance.

http://aprperformance.com/index.php?...d=76&Itemid=49

They have this template on record now, so you can either customer order or have them send you one of these.

The stainless steel support rods are included in the kit.

The front lip I bought from Phamtastic, an E90Post member.

So those rods are attached to the bumper only? Also how is the rest of the splitter going to be attached? Are the mounting points sturdy enough for your application?

Just a heads up that while great on paper, there have not been good reviews of the 135i brakes on track. Apparently the calipers are prone to crack due to extreme heat.

In comparison, none of us who track on the stock E90/E92 brakes have had a problem.

You may have to budget a bbk upgrade sometime in the future!

Otherwise, your car looks great, and can't wait to hear more updates.

The diffuser attaches using stock mounting points and a few other drill points, then the rods are attached to the bumper at some newly drilled points and pressure put on to create downforce.

Well it has been a while since I posted. We decided not to go with the N52 and instead use an S54 motor.

One step forward, two steps back...

Now I have custom headers from Magnaflow, SPEC alum flywheel/clutch that will not fit the S54. Anyone interested in headers or Alum flywheel/clutch for a N52? Brand new...

Anyone have any experience putting an S54 in an E90 chassis?

this is even more exciting in my opinion. You may be the first to do an engine swap in the e90. Interested to hear what functionality of the stock system you will keep and how you get it all working.

Post some pictures and info in the NA sub forum about your headers. I did custom catless pipes and a bunch of people pm'd me about them. I would love to see some pics of them.

The rear window is just lexan from Orchard Supply Hardware. Used stock rear window to get needed dimensions.

Yes, APR should be able to take care of you.

I just contacted Tony from APR and he said they discard custom splitter templates after a month or so. When did you get the splitter and do you have the template by any chance?!?!?! Such a sick car!!!

They designed that splitter for last year's SEMA show, sorry it has been over a month.

I think you can trace out the outline and they will make one for you. Feel free to come to any of our races and trace it out (www.USTCC.com).

You might want to come to the Sonoma race when the WTCC come out to join us as well (http://www.fiawtcc.com/), I can probably even comp you a couple of tickets.

Thanks for taking the time to update!

What made you steer away from the N52? At least runn it until its dead- though that could take a while, all these 6-in-a-rows seem to last forever.

Also, I think the 135 brakes will be great for you- the car will weigh 5oo pounds less than a 135i, and I am sure your car will have great ducting.

I'm guessing ease of tuning using an obd1 motor.

I like that idea. The design is great and I'm sure my APR connection would love a group buy!
