Is it possible to play DVD while driving?

How do you install this module? Are there instructions available or only an audio shop can install these?

Module is installed behind the DVD drive. Email me directly and I will be happy to provide instructions.

so only 09 cars can play DVDs? 06 to 08 even with DVD slot and updated idrive firmware cant play? Can anyone confirm again? I tried it myself on my 06 and I cant play the DVD. I tried one DVD thou maybe I should try a few more.

don't bother trying, it's been confirmed MANY times that only 09s play DVD movies

Try a new Drive unit, HD screen, iDrive controller and coding just to begin. It's not going to be easy.

Yes, equipment is here - we just need to allocate the time to get everything installed.

- I can watch TV with my iDrive. Will the device unlock this feature as well?

- Do you ship the device abroad?

If you have a BMW TV tuner, this will be compatible with that as well, proving you are 2009 or later build.

Well my '08 E93 iDrive plays DVD, although it's a UK late '08 (end September).

What about the 5 series? I just bought a 2010 5 series with the new idrive and it plays only in park. Would this module work with it, or is it not compatible?

The systems are the same, it should have no problems with compatibility.

On another note, the module was just sucessfully installed in a MY09 1-series.

I can happily confirm this. Just got your module, installed it, and its working in all gears, all speeds, backward, forward even still
