Question Getting to Xenons on 325i to place a light cap around the bulb.

Help, please. I ordered some xenon covers to make my headlights blue. I would like to install them myself, but I do not yet have the experience necessary to take the wheels off, I saw the little hatch up inside the wheel well. Can I install them by opening this and leaving the wheels on, or should I wait until my new wheels come in and I go to the tire shop and ask them if I can do it while the tires/ wheels are off?

Thanks.

Hmmm..what do you mean by xenon covers? The actual housing themselves can't be dismantled without much effort. The bulbs and related electricals are easily accessible by removing the front inner fender (as per PMB install instructions). They can't be accessed to that little hatch you are referring to. Those only access the side markers/turn signal bulbs. The easiest way to change your xenon colors would be to change the D1S bulb.

Clarification

I ordered these glass covers to slip over the xenons. I have D2S bulbs also, but the main thing is how do I remove the front inner fender?

Well first of all the E90's xenon bulbs are D1S. Second of all, I'm not sure about 'glass covers' to slip over the bulbs.

You can start with these links for instructions/general idea on how to remove the front inner fender:

If you have a glass cover, I cant help but think its going to decrease the light output of your xenons. Especially if its a light filter to emit a certain color of light.

If you want to get a different color xenon, just replace the bulb.

+1 ....aside from fitment issue there might be unwanted heat issues as well. At below $200 a D1S 6000K bulb upgrade is a safer bet.

Where did you find a below $200 D1S 6000k bulb?
Osram? McCulloch? EBAY?

There's a pending GB ($175 per pair) here:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33813

suvlights.com has them listed as $125 bulbs plus shipping for Osram 6000K:
