Hey guys just a quick pic of the latest piece of progress! But I'll probably swap these out for something a little less blue and perhaps stronger!
FSDs arrive today too so will get onto that soon!

Thanks for the kind words guys,
I've decided to take the tips off the standard M3 exhaust and powercoat for a blacked out look, also finally made the call to get blacked out grills as well! Given the new info that's available, I'm also looking into updating the Idrive to the newer one but have to investigate how much money this will cost! I'll have some pics of the frankenstein exhaust soon! Custom downpipes, 335i midpipes and crosspipe together with M3 muffler! It'll be really interesting to see what sound gets produced in the end!

ive seen ppl on here saying hes not building an m3?
i just hope that you dont put m3 emblems on that thing. i commend the build but im not a fan of turning a 335 into an m3. could have put the same money into it and made that 335 look a whole lot custom and look just as good/better than an m3. remember those fieros that used to have lambo body kits? at least its not "downgrading" like this guy: http://www.eurocarblog.com/post/2796...stang-body-kit |

Wait, so why not just buy an M3?
Nice build. Paint looks funny though, perhaps its just the shop lighting. |

Decided to upgrade the Idrive, although still a bit confused as to whether or not I should bother to upgrade the controller or not? And if I do, should I get the normal one or should I go for the 5 series "black chrome" looking one? Since I'm going with Piano black trim pieces.....
Any thoughts?

When are we going to see the final pics ?
Seems like the title must be updated ... You have way more time and guts than me to pull one like that ,but waiting for completed exterior shots. Pretty sure it'll be a clean ride. But, as stated before, would definitively be a cleaner look debadged.

WOW, wotta ride!
People in the USA forget that everyone else have value added taxes or VAT on top of the regular price of the car, so it makes the purchase so prohibitive. Fear not! Our misguided government officials want us to have the same VAT as everyone else, so we could pay the same exorbitant prices, if we don't pay attention and vote the bums out who are trying to ruin our way of life. Enough of the rant.... Your car is siiiiiiick! I really appreciate the Ferrari color and all of the mods you are making. I just read another thread in which they installed stock M3 rear quarter panels on an LCI 335i e90 sedan. I think people have forgotten that the M3 is derived from a 3-series with minor mods that transform it into an M3, like engine, suspension, whatnot...but all in all, it is still a 3-series car. So, it makes perfect sense to install M3 components because they FIT, for the most part. So, if it looks good, then dammit, use it! Can't wait to see the final product!

Hi Guys,
Sorry been flat at work and was away during the weekend for the World Time Attack in Sydney! Eiji Yamada is one hell of a amazing driver! His lap times on semis slicks were faster than V8 Supercars on Slicks at eastern creek! Anyways, back to the car, she's now had her intercooler, exhaust installed, Procede is in, Methnol tank is in, FSDs and Performance steering wheel and P3 boost gauge is in and now in testing stages with dyno to happen sometime this week or next! I'll be making a big effort to finish work early tmr so I can go along to the workshop to take some pics! Now there's just the orginal M3 fenders to be painted and go on, and to get the front grills painted! Although there'll be a gap of 3-4 weeks before my bodyshop can get to that, but in the meantime there's a lot else that I can be busy with! At the moment going to order the wiring harness from EAS for the LCI tail-lights and install the Piano black trim and individual speaker surrounds! The other part I'll install if it gets here intime is the CIC i-drive, which is one part I'm really looking forward to! Patrys has been a huge help in that regard! Well, that's it from me at this point but hopefully pictures tomorrow!
