Level: Amateur (so please bear with me on these terms)

While working on changing my ignition coil (after Googling and looking for DIY), I found this hose that looks like it goes from the air filter. I took pictures to map how it wraps around.

From the air filter:



then wraps around:



and it ends at this:



No idea what it is and if it's important.

That other end attaches to the intake manifold somewhere. It isn't supposed to be free hanging
