I am a hip hop head. I guess I should check out the new Zion I, I haven't heard anything about it. I waiting for Lupe Fiasco's debut album, Food & Liquor, to drop in August.

Albums I am listening to right now are
Sergio Mendes - Timeless
Aceyalone - Magnificent City
The Coup - Pick A Bigger Weapon
Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere
Felt - Tribute to Lisa Bonet
Atmosphere - You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having.
I've heard mixed reviews on Soul Position's new album.

Old School. what about it?

Rakim and Q-Tip are two of my favorite MCs

I listen regularly to joints by Hieroglyphics (Souls of Mischief, Pharcyde, Del,...), Ice Cube, Notorious, Tupac, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang.....

Hip Hop on the radio is all club music and easily forgotten in two weeks.

Also, I may just give Christina Aguilera's new CD a listen because it was co-produced by DJ Premier.

DJ Dangermouse is definitely making a name for himself after Gnarls Barkley and the last Gorillaz album. Anyone from CA going to Rock the Bells?

holy crapppp. if you like hiphop, and live in cali, and DONT go to rock the bells, you should be like shot. i SERIOUSLY considered buying a plane ticket and being in cali for 36 hours, and coming home for work. but NO ONE else is down to go with me. Murs, Immortal Technique, Wu-tang, Del. holy crap, the hip hop show of all shows.

Hip hop is too diluted with rappers who cant come up with good lyrics. Too many rappers follow the equation of hook+beat = hit song. They have to bring up guys with similar talents to guys like common, mos, and method, eminem....Not in squary cube? (WTF does that mean!?!?)
