Alright people, small get together/cruise tomorrow afternoon (Sunday the 18th) at 430pm A few of us will be meeting up there for some photoshoots, we'll probably leave around 530 - 6 so if you make it up there and can't see a bunch of German cars, you probably missed us.

It's also not BMW exclusive, there will be VW's there as well, and hopefully one of these times, a few Audis. There's not a huge enthusiast crowd in KC yet so lumping all the Krautmobiles together makes for a sizeable G2G.

We will be meeting at the parking garage attached to the Dilliards at Zona Rosa, north of the river.

I'm moving to Leavenworth/KC area from Texas and currently have the OEM wheels and tires on my '09 328i sedan. . . I'm currently looking at tires and possibly new wheels also. . .

1. Can I simply buy a set of quality ultra high performance all season tires or do will I definitely need dedicated winter tires in Kansas?

2. If I don't buy any new tires at all, will the OEM all season RFTs survive a Kansas winter?

I don't drive my car when it snows, but i would highly recommend putting dedicated snow tires on the stock wheels and picking up a nicer set. Another option is to put nice summer tires on the stock wheels and get a cheaper set with snow tires to run during the winter.

Snows are recommend, I got some from Tirerack for 1100 with wheels w0/tpms are the tires are dunlop 3d snows and I went through a lot of snow.

Then in the summer I run Bridgestone 760sports

The first winter I had my car I had the pirelli a/s and if it snowed more that 2-3 inches I could get around very well....but on the flip side usually the roads are clear in one day so...

Well we've got some crappy weather here today. I'm still gonna be up at Dilliards if you guys wanna just do a quick meet so we can get familiar with each others cars and shoot the shit a little bit.
