ecu upgrade

Hi guys,
i just did an ECU remap for my e90 330i
Got a 10bhp & 7nm gain after upgrade

pre tuning dyno
max power: 202 bhp
max torque: 260 nm

post tuning dyno
max power: 212 bhp
max torque: 267 nm

5 runs on 3rd gear. how do i convert the figures there to engine power n torque as i was told that this is on wheel figures. is it decent gain?
vmax of 250 km/h has been lifted however i've yet the chance to test that out yet.. hehe

cheers

Re-mapping the N52

I thought ECU remaps on the N52 were nominal at best. Guess I got the wrong info.

Could you feel a difference in performance?

I highly doubt you can feel a difference in performance with just the ecu flash. If anything, it'll be physcological.

I know our cars are no M3, but I recall BMW engineers saying that 285 HP was pretty close to the high for a NA 3.0 liter.

270...

So there is a company out there that can produce 270 hp out of the N/A engine? Can anyone else confirm this?

I live in Bahrain and I saw this too, the dealer prints the specs sheet of the car saying that the N/A engine of E92 330 is 272 HP.

It's because they measure hp differently in other parts of the world. 270 in one part of the world is the same as 255hp in the US. You can take the one rated at 270 and the one rated at 255 and put them on a dyno and get about 220rwp out of both.

I don't think that's the case here - The UK E90 330i used to have 258bhp (255hp in US measurements) but now we have the new direct injection model it gives out 272bhp. The new engine gives out more power, whilst being significantly more economical and greener.

I think you're right. I did some more research and discovered they tweaked a few things to get the power.

I thought I heard somewhere that they measure hp diff depending on what part of the world you are in but it was on a G37 forum so who knows how much of that talk you can trust

You're right, but i'm not sure how much of a difference there is in the measurements. Take the N52 330i - here in the UK it's rated at 258hp whereas the US measure it at 255hp.
