Emissions explanation
Hey guys,
I recently bought a pair of Catless Dp's and I want to install them right away. The issue is my E-test is not until October. I was told by someone that I can do it anytime, and then plugged the car into a scanner. Apparently 4 fault codes came up and said that the car is not ready for emissions yet. Can anyone explain this to me and possibly help me resolve the situation. Thanks

You need DP fix lol
If you have a tune you can clear codes and new G4 +G5 boards on the JB4 had the fix already integrated. Once this is installed it'll trick the computer into thinking you still have stock DP's. Here's a question though.... If you could do emissions at any time this year why didn't you do that first and then install DP's? - woulda saved you a lot of trouble |

Will this allow me to do the e-test quite a bit early?

The DP fix is for those already running catless downpipes.
Your issue may be as simple as not having your trip monitors completed. What are the fault codes that you found? Do have INPA or BT Tool? Ps. Yes an e-test is valid for a year, starting from the day of the test |
