Go for $500 over invoice. Over on the left coast that's fairly easy to get and not many people do much better than that.

Yeah... with the 1 series, X6, and M3's all new, the 335i shouldn't be demanding as much of a premium as it did a year ago. I'd shoot for $500 over, maybe up to $1,000 if anything, but I wouldn't go any higher than that. BTW I'm still on my ED high, so if you're interested in ED consider it!!! You'll end up getting your car for $45k AFTER taxes and fees. (Plus the trip is awesome too.)

I agree. I just did a PDC pickup of mine, that I acquired in-transit for a bit under Invoice+$500 (and that included all the fees and the Option Credit of $1,200).

I suspect that it would have to be closer to $1000 if you wanted a 'vert as they are shorter in supply. But for a coupe, $500-800 is more the current market. NOTE: You will definitely have to work to get that. Most dealers still want to sell 'em at a few thou below MSRP, but do the math. (Invoice + 500 can end up being about $9000 below MSRP !!!)

Make sure you ask about the credit for options (not sure if the Auto is still in effect).

Not to get TOO off topic, but you mention doing a PDC for a car already in transit... How long did it take to get a PDC date, and for the car to arrive at port and get to the PDC?

*I'm just a bit neurotic, my car should be arriving at port tomorrow, and I still don't have a PDC date, and I'm trying to figure out what time frame to expect.

You will have to Search the forums for an answer to how long it takes to get a PDC date and all the shipping timing numbers. My CA found a car for me already in-transit, and told me he get a PDC date. I don't know if the car already had the PDC and I took it over too, as I was told the car had been ordered by another dealer for the showroom. (I had to hurry as I was replacing an old 328is that had been totaled).

I've been searching this forum, and another (fest). But it seems like it's a bit of a gamble, especially in the summer months. Some people say it's booked into August, and some people are offered a "take it or leave it" date in July, otherwise no PCD since the VPC won't hold the car for more than 4 weeks. I'm just reading/asking as much as I can, so I have some idea of whether or not to cut my loses and skip PCD (instead of waiting a month).
