......Yet another set of rims on the M!......

Thats right, another set of rims now adorns my M3. As much as I loved the LM reps, I was never 100% with them. Sometimes I thought they looked spot on, but other times I was not sure about the graphite finish alongside my white car.

Anyway, managed to do a deal on this set of rims from BMautosport. Mark is a top guy and the wheels are just what I wanted....

If anyone want a mint set of BBS LM reps with red centre badges then check out the classifieds....http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325308

In the meantime tell me your thoughts on these....

I think I'm going to be a bit controversial, and say I preferred the LM reps - by a big margin

Sorry matey - probably not what you want to hear.

I'm not a fan of the rear wheels, which look a little too 'Euro' for me (ie tyre too stretched, to create a very bulbous profile on the outside)

The look is very similar to your LM reps, just now look a lot more blingy...I didn't really like them on yours before so you can guess what I think of these.

If you like 'em who gives a toss what I think

Looking good Paul

Love the big lips (there's a gag there )... the only thing I'm not completely sure 'bout is the red centre caps. I know they say BBS but I'd stick with the BMW roundels and let the wheels do the talking....

Just my tuppence

The rims are actually the same width as the stock M3 rears and the stock tyres are fitted so defo no stretching of the tyre going on - fitment is the same as OEM M3 wheels.

Could work. I'd use the same theme as your other badges though.

I agree with the BMW roundels, the red ones stand out but not in a good way. I prefer your new wheels but only 'cos I don't like dark coloured wheels.

Cheers Mark. I am going to see if my CF roundels will fit these wheels, they did not fit the LM reps. I could have had some standard caps with roundels but chose the offer of original BBS centre caps as these alone go for about £50 on ebay. I didn't want blue roundels as I have swapped every other one on the car to CF 'mono' style.

Wil have a mess about with them when the weather is warmer

Hi Paul,

Like the new wheels, would definitely try and change the red roundels though, wasn't too sure with them on your old one's....would make all the difference

+1 with Carlos....get it lowered!

Will defo look at some CF roundels - should have measured the diameter of these before they were fitted

Lowering is looking likely - I am awaiting your review of the Eibach Sport springs after you have lived with them for a couple of weeks. If you were still coming to the Stafford meet............

I prefer them to the previous set but, as others have said, it's the centre caps that dont do the wheels justice (that was also my hesitation previously more than the colour of the alloy). Overall though it looks pretty good.

I have to say these new rims suit the M3 more than LM's which are too ''clean'' looking for an aggressive M. They suit Non M3 E92's.

Hi Paul, i think those look great on your car. i do like the red roundels, but as everyone said, think new roundels would be better...black or carbon fibre. You got anything else planned for your car?

Tony, maybe I will be a bit more controversial........

I don't like either alloys, the OEM 19"s are good enough for me, anything else doesn't suit my rather 'c'onservative taste - and the car - sorry - but what does my view mean - nothing!

No worries Pete. As you said no one's views really make a great deal of difference as I love the wheels, but I do value them all the same

The OEM's may well go back on at some point, but I just like a little bit of indiduality with my cars

I actually quite like the red centre caps also, but also think the CF ones may look a little more subtle. I did try the CF ones against the LM's but being grey they did not stand out. Against silver spokes, they may look better

Cheers Carl. I could not quite put my finger on my lack of love for the LM's but you may have just summed it up

Thanks Rog, I will post some 'updated' pics when I get some CF centre caps PS: How much oil & fuel you used in the new motor yet, I reckon my 4.0 V8 may be more frugal
