Opinion on these ebay rims on E92
Hey guys, need to do a sanity check. Looking at wheels for my 2008 335xi for when things thaw out here in a couple months and I take off my winters. Was originally looking at some CSL reps or some 313s, trying to narrow it down when I come across these 437m reps...
1. Is it too risky to buy ebay wheels?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-BMW-2015-...dVrXtM&vxp=mtr The seller seems to have good feedback and is in the USA.. but not sure. 2. Do you think the 437m design will look good on a black E92 (pre-lci)? 3. Based on my searches here, it sounds like the wheels size would be OK for 335xi coupe...anything I need to worry about? They say 8.5 and 9.5, could work with the oem staggered bridgestones? (225, 255?) many thanks. |

I'd say go with them. How are you going to mount the tires and the Tire Pressure Monitors on them? Got an indie to take care of that for you?

Crappy gravity cast reps, you’ll bend or crack one within a few months guaranteed.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there any way to know which rims are higher quality and will be stronger? Or is it just better to buck up and buy from a brand name such as VMR, AC, etc?

Yes, I have an indie shop that can do it, thankfully. I agree the look is nice, its like a more modern 313. Thanks for the feedback, just worried about quality at this point.

I would go with a used set of APEX or OEM wheels if concerned about quality, but still trying to keep amount spent low.
APEX is having a few group buys right now. If you bend one of their wheels they will let you trade it in for 50% credit. Stay away from ebay reps. Who are you going to sue when the wheel falls apart at 70 mph and causes a wreck? |
