BMW License Plate?

New here. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum for this question. I just bought my wife a new 325i for Christmas. When it was delivered, it already had the front license plate holder (black plastic) attached. I figured "no problem, I'll just remove it." It came off easy enough but left 2 ugly and very noticeable black holes in the bumper (the car is white).

Anybody know where I can find a white license plate with just the "BMW" letters on it? It seems like I've seen them around but I haven't been able to locate one. I thought about getting a plate with the roundel on it but thought it might look stupid since the hood roundel would be just a few inches above it.

Alternatively, I suppose I could put some screws in the holes and put painted screw covers on them.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

Welcome to the forum! Your wife must be very happy with her gift this year! Dare I say better than jewelry? Nice color choice too. There have been a few threads here about the bumper plugs - but the popular choice seems to be: www.bumperplugs.com

I'm lucky and don't have holes in either car!

Thanks for the link, LEDZEP. I think she'd prefer that over a plate.

Wait, your dealer doesn't install a front plate in California, where one is required? How on earth can that be legal? Even if "the customer is always right" the dealership still needs to deliver cars that obey the law. Then you're free to do whatever you want to it...

My dealer didn't drill, either. In California, the dealer registers the car with the DMV and you receive the license plates several weeks later, so you wouldn't have a front license plate on the car regardless of whether there was a plate holder attached.

In fact, I just got my plates today from my early November purchase.

Glad I live in PA where they don't require front plates. They didn't drill the holes

they made you sign a form if you dont want it, so they dont get in trouble or pay for your ticket.

i just got my plates yesterday, it only took 2 weeks. it usually took a month to two with other cars. i actually didn't want the plates yet. i still want a new car
