I had fun even though I only got a few high 11s passes in before using nitrous and being the first person I know of to break an axle on a CLK55! Mercedes wants $960 for the part and there are none in the country! :sad0147:

Just to add to some of the awesome times run... There was a NA C55 that ran 12.2 (a record) and I think Sniz covered the rest.

Here is the P car lifting the front wheels and this is NOT Scotts Protomotive car, it belongs to Mike (still AWD) Remember that P cars have the engine in the back and have a "light" nose:

The red E36 is a 2.8L engine with a single turbo. He made 996whp with a boost leak. The car is INSANE! He just has alot of trouble getting traction even without being on high boost and not using the nitrous (which he also has).

Like Sniz mentioned, most of these cars are street driven which is incredible to me.

the engine is a 3.0 then? i thought you guys e36 328's had a 3.0? in europe they had a 2.8 litre engine? but you say his is 2.8 litre turbo?

amazing

the 996RWHP? is that with or without Nitrous?

Carlos

PM sent!

A 2100lb Fiesta with 230bhp! Niiiice! Thats better power to weight ratio than a Lotus Exige S! It would definitely beat a 335 from a roll though.

No, they have a 2.8L. Yes the car is a built 2.8L engine with a custom turbo setup. The 996whp was without nitrous and with a boost leak. The car is INSANE! I've never been in any car that comes anywhere near how fast that car is.

MIR as well

First run with new spring (18 psi)I had it set to 27 but had the turbo coming on way to slow.I thought it was another 10 run. A 1.669 60ft(caution f word used)
www.bmwturbo328.com/car/998run.wmv

Happy, but wanted more I had the boost come in sooner but still 27 came in a little to strong around 1/8 started going in other lane left off got straight and hit again for the heck of it.A 1.664
www.bmwturbo328.com/car/10spinning.wmv

Ok got to be a happy medium 2 more pounds of boost 29 and bring the turbo in a little slower.Spun off line and in first to a 1.744 60ft. Ran into rev limter hard way before finish line(3.38 gears)

he was spraying ice water on his intake and radiator.......every last .1 of a second makes a difference. He did run a 12.2 w/ his C55, which makes it the fastest recorded N/A C55 in the US....so he's doing something right.

You can also see Jay icing down his CL600....it made the 1st US pass in the 10's off of nitrous for a 600 series......these guys were pretty damned serious about what they were doing, their times showed that.
