Thanks for taking the time to take and post that video. Very helpful!
I'm also curious to know how you concealed your Valentine1 as I am thinking about getting one. I know there is a company by the name of Stealth that will allow you to display the V1 on the DVD/Navi screen. |

The car sounds interesting. The sound almost wants to get raspy but doesnt. are there any other resonators that can be removed from the 3er? How much of the a difference do you hear? Inside the car, can you hear the exhaust note better or at all?

The E90 has 2 resonators; like the E46. The cats are in the exhaust manifold itself.
(off topic, I dont think StealthV1 has a setup for the E90, and not sure when they will, considering the car is a completely different bus system than the E46/E39/X5/etc; I got one for my dads X5; its pretty damn cool!) |

A resonator looks like a mini-muffler, but is usually a hollow chamber through which your exhaust goes. Think of it as a silencer on a gun. It doesn't impede the flow of exhaust gases, but catches some of the sound.
In my experience, it eliminates some of the tin can sound and throttle release raspiness. |
