The underseat OEM speakers are not 8"... but the wiring is the same.
Four 4" mids - one in each door. I don't know the clearance, and it's not in the diagram. To measure would probably require a big chunk of modeling clay... Four 1" tweeters - one in each door. Driven by the same wires as the mids, splits in the door. |

Who knows, I was gonna pull them off to see if it would be worth it to replace or not
I got it off just pryed from the front and slowly pulled up and the whole piece popped out

The rear deck grilles pop off easily using a dull kitchen knife to pry up a section. The plastic retaining tabs on the grille are a bit fragile, though. If you blow it, you can buy new ones for like 13 bucks. I just put in some 5.25 Focal coaxials in there - needed some modding, but it works with the grilles back on. Not sure the sound is a significant improvement, though. I'd put my effort and money in the front doors first.

Wondering if it's worthwhile to get a 3-way component set and use the rears for mid-bass and end up with a 4-channel setup. Not sure if the 5.25 in the back would do much but I imagine with the 4" in the doors and 8" under the seats would have a gap in there somewhere. Thoughts?
