new E93 335i

Hi all,

The other half's e46 conv is due to go back end of May. I've been on the hunt for an e93 335i M Sport for a while but have been dissapointed in the lack of stock with the required options.

I'm thinking a new one might be an option. I've tallied one up through a broker site and ended up at about 47K. Now I've heard anectodals about low finance rates for new cars. Does anyone know what kind of flat rate/apr I should be aiming for from the dealer? I'd be looking at 5yrs.

Thanks

///C

Difficulty in finding the right spec was one of the reasons I went with a new car, and the second reason was the finance rates seem to be a lot better on a new car. In fact the brand new car worked out slightly cheaper than a nearly new car in my case. I got 11% discount on the list price and 4.25% flat rate finance from a BMW main dealer. You have to remember that even if you find the second hand car that has the spec that you want and even if it is a bit cheaper and the finance is cheap the resale value will be lower and therefore there would have to be a significant saving to offset that. Good luck with your purchase and enjoy it when it comes.

Settle for nothing over 6.5% APR / 3.25% flat

Discount - 10-15%

Look here for some price guidance before talking to a dealer:

http://www.broker4cars.co.uk/pcp-car-finance.htm

Also - check out the 'target' prices in the car mags.

For a 335i convertible, this website is quoting 10.5% APR and 6.4% for HP

Thanks for that. b4c is actually where I got the discounted vehicle price from. Their finance numbers appear to be broken though. It does give me a good indication of residuals and a price to aim for though. That coupled with your insight into finance rates should help me a lot. Thank you again.
