PCD Report

Just got back from picking my new E93 up from the Performance Center yesterday. If all BMW owners realized what a great experience that is they would be so busy it would be impossible to get a delivery there! If you ever get a chance, DO IT!

Everything was absolutely fantastic including the stay at the Marriott, the track time in a car similar to the one that you'll be picking up, the tour of the factory (which, by the way, will be suspended after this Friday for 6-12 months while they retool for the X6), the tour of the Zentrum museum, and last but not least..... the actual delivery of the car by a factory trained technician who is very knowledgeable and goes over every detail of your new car with you.

There's also the "hot lap" in a M5 with a BMW race car driver (Donny Isley in our case) that you won't forget for quite a while!

Special thanks to Donny and the rest of the folks at the PC, Museum and factory who made our day an absolutely wonderful experience!

That is the same color combo on my Vert which (I hope) I pick up this week!
Great taste!
Any second thoughts after seeing the color combo live?

No second thoughts at all. I love it! I had a black 540 previously and I love black but hate keeping it clean. I've had a couple of silver cars since and love how easy they are to keep clean, so I decided to try something in between. It's perfect for what I wanted!

Unfortunately the only pictures I have so far are some I took at the Performance Center in the delivery bay and the lighting was pretty poor for photography (not to mention my skills aren't exactly the best....) but here's a few anyway. Good luck on your new car. You'll love it!!!!

too make matters even better, while i was enjoying your photos, i got a call from my CA...my e93 is IN!!!...and i PICK IT UP TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great writeup ! I couldn't agree more,if you don't have time to do ED & PCD,at least do the PC.It's not only a great experience,but an awesome feeling driving your new baby anywhere in the US.We all seem to speed through life,this is a great opportunity to slow down ( just a little ) and experience the ultimate drive.
