Was at a local gas station on Friday. Just as I go to put the pump in, a paramedic runs over and screams "Hey buddy, that's diesel!". I looked over and replied "yeah, i know. Thanks".

Long ride

I took a road trip to NC with some family and friends. I brag about my car all the time.

I drive all the way there, around town, and 70% back before needing to refuel (535 miles on a tank ).

I tell my friends I am pulling over, they laugh and say "you already have to fill up again?" (we stopped for an audi S4 after 50 miles they forgot I didn't fill up there, gas only).

I pull off at a truck stop, whip out the converter and start filling up with the gloves on (which is a bitch but won't tell them that).

My friends get some chips from the store and come sprinting back with two truck drivers "Stop, stop, stop" they yell. This pump is for diesels trucks. You just ruined your BMW."

To celebrate this laugh, I launched from the gas station through the onramp, someone in the back was audibly uncomfortable from the torque.

I consider this relative uniqueness to be the best thing about this car. Not everyone has one.

Ha! That's great! I've had gas station attendants do the same thing, running out frantic at diesel going in a BMW. Always fun to watch. Have yet to have fun with the truckers though. I should probably try it sometime.

These stories are the best. I had this a week ago, but the guy didn't say anything. He was filling is F-350 on the other side of my pump. He saw me stick the green nozzle in and did a triple take with the whites of his eyes easliy seen through his dark sun glasses. Then he scooted over behind my car and saw the "d". He totally had a WTF look. I played it cool.

The best is "This pump is for diesel trucks you just ruined your BMW" hahahahahahahahahah

Two of my friends are of the kind that hate diesels, both in boats and cars.
They are never ever going to have a diesel.

But they have to admit: "It doesn't have the usual rattle..."
"It's quite silent"

...and so on...

Only sad thing is that one can't have the 335 with a manual g-box...
