Injector DIY - GREAT / CODING NOT SO MUCH

Replaced the injectors (6) easily following this DIY - BIG PROPS HERE.
.
For the Coding -- without a 32-bit running Win7 -- I turned to the DIS v.57 to code. However, found little info as to what screens within the DIS program to input new values.
.
How I Coded: Spent hrs setting up my 64-bit with DIS.v57 (ebay $89.00)
and ran the program in this manner:

Quick Test All Modules
Functions > Complete Vehicle > Drive > Motor Electronics > Service Functions > Adjust Programs > Adjust Injectors

At Adjust Injectors : Input each injector (1) at a Time and save
.
It work Great but spent hrs fumbling thru the DIS program - hope this helps.

So I ordered some injectors from ECS Tuning and it looks like they already came with the injector seals installed. But I also got a whole bunch of pretty similar if not identical looking seals in another bag from them. See the attached picture.

These are index 12 btw and it was the kit of six.

Thanks bro, that helped, I think putting those clips that hold the injectors in place was the hardest part. If someone's got an easy way to do it please post up, first two went easily enough, the one closest to the dashboard was a pain in the ass.

Over all pretty good, now to fix my laptop and do the coding!

Still getting stumbling on idle, do I need to reset adaptations? I replaced all 6 and coded them. Injector six was 0.2 off

Bluetooth OBD II adaptor

Do you know if I would be able to use my Bluetooth OBD II adaptor to perform the coding? Or is the USB cable required? Injectors are expensive enough as it is, if I don't have to shell out an extra $100 for the cable that'd be great. Thanks.

$30 cable from ebay worked just fine for me. I was just looking into that, I could try it today when I get home.

fuel injector order

which order does the fuel injectors start?

If I was standing in the front of the car looking towards the engine does the 1st fuel injector go from 1- 6 from front to back? or back to front?

Can INPA be used to code injectors for on 09 model? From what I can tell the software doesn't work for 09+ models but maybe I'm not interpreting what I've read correctly. Thanks

Thanks OP! Followed this thread and replaced my Bank 1 injectors last week.

I used the metal fuel line to take the actual injectors out. I did not have a pick tool and wiggling them out would take me too much time and force...

Is there a "stock" value to the injectors? Or will it be more of an adjustment to get it tuned in correctly? Im helping out my friend this weekend who has some loud injectors and wanted me to look at it, might be just a simple re-program, but i wanted to be prepared just in case the values were out of range. Thanks

I would check codes to see if it's o2 sensor.

How hard is it to code with the schwaben scan tool? I heard this tool can register a new battery too is that true?

I think I may have index 6 injectors.. production year 2006 335i. Is there a power difference to be had upgrading to 12?

At what mileage did you or others replace injectors? I'm at 80k.

Replacement of ONE (1) injector?

Can only one injector be replaced at a time?

Should the new injector part 13-53-7-585-261 be used instead of the old part 13-53-8-616-079?

This for a friends 2007 335i.

Thanks

Mind letting me know if you or anyone has any issues with their Cobb. I'm in the same boat and this will be my first serious DIY.

I need help. I have 2009 335i. I have a bank 1 too rich code 0172. I tried to find the Mass air flow sensor and clean it but I realize the 335 doesn't have a MAF sensor. Can someone show me a diagram or explain what's in place of the it and how oxygen is determined and mixed without a MAF sensor.
