Any idea what's the best way to contact the vendor aside from PM on this forum? The vendor hasn't been online since 11/17, and I have been waiting for the tracking information for a set of M3 side skirt place since Monday 11/17...

I hunted for a phone number all over their website...NONE! I then did a google search for their phone number....not sure if it will work but here it is 510-797-4491. It really irritates me when companies don't have phone numbers on their website...heaven forbid someone want to talk to live person these days!

Or try their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/jgmods goodluck!

Sent you a PM with tracking information. Your side skirts are in transit, were shipped out on time on 11/18.

Unfortunately we do not offer phone support at this time, only email or forum PM system. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Wow, that is good to know for future reference...How unfortunate and poor customer service.

Most vendors in here do not operate in a big network were they would have a Customer service employees. I did business with JGmods in the past and everything went smoothly. Fast responses between PM's. Jay was very respectful and always responded right away.

I have owned and run many small businesses from one employee (me), to 5 employees. I always answered customer questions via email, PMs and yes PHONE. It is a cop out that a company isn't "big enough" to have a customer service department. That is the beauty of voice mail. Return calls at your convenience.

I have also run customer services departments in big companies. This is a pet peeve of mine. It should not matter if the company is big or small sometimes customers need to talk to someone because email or PM cannot get the point across...and sometimes a customer may need verbal instructions not written. By stating we don't offer phone support, you are telling me you don't have time for the customer unless it is convenient for you.

1st you said, that is the beauty of voice mail. "Return calls at your convenience "
Then you said, by stating we don't offer phone support, you are telling me you don't have time for customers unless it is convenient for you?

Returning VM, PM or emailing is all the same, it is convenient for the vendor to do so.

When Im looking for prices, I like to get pms. So I can go back and see what the quote was. Plus, with pm I can see what was said vs. a phone call trying to remember what was said.

And with tracking numbers? Do you really want someone to read out how many letters and numbers out as you're writing it down?

I don't think you are understanding what I am saying. I agree that someone should be able to return a voice mail at their convenience, but what if I needed help with installing something and I just could not understand what was being said in an email or voice mail?

He stated he doesn't give phone support...support is different from sending an email/PM with tracking.

I am done, I have said my peace. I give and expect a different level of customer service than some I suppose.

I gotta side with the JG Mods approach: Many customers expect a phone to be answered, not roll to VM every time. Creating an expectation and then failing to deliver on it is a poor approach. Also, in a business that involves customer installation (and I know because I ran one), the process of having to write it makes customers think more clearly about the issue. But if written coms fail after a try or two a voice call should be an option.

Then you don't side with JG Mods approach...they do not offer any phone support. So if coms fail, they will send you another email or PM...no phone calls at all.

I don't really care about whether they want to offer phone or not however i prefer to deal with places that have phone service. I tried contacting jg via email to ask a simple question or two and got tired of waiting days ( they didn't even respond to the first email I sent) and three emails later finally heard back...I didn't buy from them needlessly to say. No thanks I'll take my money elsewhere.
