Feedback on GP thunders

Have any of you guys had any problems with GP thunders so far? I have just ordered two pairs (7500k) to use on my e92 as angel eye lights and fogs. In the past I've heard of bulbs that help create that white, bright look, but draw too much power, heating up the housing (like those PIAA hyperwhite bulbs, 55w=110w). From what I heard, GP thunders only draw 35w, so it wont cause any issues. Also do these bulbs burn out fast?

Just want to sure before I install them and regret my decision.

Thanks!

Its no big deal, they look really classy for their cheap price. Go for it. You won't regret it, and if you do, you only spend like $30

I've had GP thunders for about 8 months and no problems.

You can't go wrong with GP's and it's a cheap mod that makes a huge difference.

Had GP's for ~ 6 months now, absolutely no problems.
There are a small minority that hate the GPs but for the price you can't beat them.

I just installed my gp 7500ks. I can only see the difference when the daytime running lights are on. When the headlights are on at night, they look just as yellow as stock????

Somethings definitely wrong. There should be a clear difference day or night.

These are H8's for the angel eyes, I am assuming.

Thats normal. It's not quite as yellow as stock but not the pretty white halos anymore.
What you mentioned and the inability to see the GPs in broad daylight are the two issues with GPs.

X2

I might get some 8500k. I saw them in person and they looked brighter and less yellow with the headlights on.

i have the 8500k H8s in my angel eyes and fogs and they look great, ESPECIALLY when you consider the price. had them in for about 2.5 months and have no issues with them at all (http://www.soflae90.com/forum/showthread.php?t=184)

Strange? I don't notice any yellow at all during night with my GP 7.5K's.

If I'm correct, your angel eyes are 8500k? Your angel eyes look great, but I noticed that once your xenons are on, they turn yellowish as well or is it the picture? I guess as long as it looks good as DRLs, then it wont matter since the brightness of the headlights will drown out the angel eyes at night.

BTW, thanks for linking me to your DYI cyrachris!

no problem for the link, i figured you could see that the swap wasn't so bad, and the pics of the final product. yes, i used 8500k for the angel eyes and fogs. i've been wondering if they 'turn yellow' when the headlights come on, or if the true xenon of the headlights just make the angels look yellow by comparison. either way, i'm very happy with the result, and mainly did it for the use of them as DRLs as you said, and in that usage, they look great. good luck with whatever you decide, and as pointed out by someone else, worst case you only spent $30 to swap the angel eyes and fogs so
