E90 Pre-LCI side marker
My side marker is showing age, its looks dull and yellowish...
I am thinking getting some from DEPO... is it easy to install/replace side marker? the one i am looking is this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-06-12-B...9922%26ps%3D54 thanks

FWIW I bought these because they look like the same ones from bimman. Because they're from Taiwan it did take 3 weeks to get them but I'm happy with them |

It's really easy. On an E90 just slide the marker towards the back of the car and pull out. Then plug the new marker into the bulb and wrap in electrical tape.
You can see it done here The one's in the ebay link I posted look just like the ones in this video |

Just as an FYI, they'll probably blink upon startup due to the bulb check feature. Unless you've coded that out.
Also, sometimes, fitment for these type of aftermarket sidemarkers isn't 100% from the factory. I have aftermarket LED sidemarkers on my car and they didn't fit flush to the fender without using a Dremel tool. |

I have those in orange/silver. looks great and good fitment. only thing I donīt like about them, is that they "point" the wrong way.

I recommend them OEM side marker because of this. If the stock ones are yellowing all you need to do is buff them back to a shine. The same way you would buff the headlights from oxidization. There is really no need to go out and buy aftermarket ones and worry about fitment and quality control issues. We recommend most customers to just upgrade to the LED Side Markers we offer and reap the benefits of OEM reliability and LED's. |
