Regular Maintenance you can do yourself

What kind of regular Maintenance can you do yourself on the car before summer?

My car is at about 93,000 KM's it had a brand new tranny and clutch put in at 88,000 so no need to worry about the tranny.

What do you guys suggest I do before summer rolls along? I intend to track a lot this summer so I would like to do everything I can to be safe and keep the car running well. I do Oil changes every 10k as of right now.

Brake fluid should be changed in a 2 year interval because brake fluid does absorb water over time.

BMW recommend that the air filter should be changed at every third oil change. Better take a look on the filter every year, if you notice a lot of dirt, change it.

Oil change every 10.000km is also to much or do you drive extreme short distances?

Before going on track, make sure you brake pads a thick enough to stand a track session.

Also on a tuned car, changing spark plugs ~10.000km before the normal interval won't hurt.

Ok I see the problem. Not enough posts and time. This is a strict forum sheesh.

I've been enjoying all the info on this forum for a while. I guess I should have been more active.

Great link. Just changed the e60 to e90 in the URL for my car. Same basic stuff.

I was just about to ask about the best preventative maintenance stuff too so I'm glad this got posted. Will use on my '08 328i for sure.

Looks like I'm about due for MT fluid flush. Suppose I should do breaks too.
