MY E90 (lci conversion in progress)
so my name is mitch. ive been on here for just over a year. ive helped a bunch of people get some lci conversions done and have use tons of info from this site to do mine as well as other things to my car. i figured id post some before and after pics of my LCI conversion here as i go through it. as of now ive only done the rear and the headlights. i have an mtec front bumper and lci hood going on in the next week or so and will post some pics up then as well. i will also be installing a set of KONI yellows as well and prob will post pics of the installation here as well. any questions are welcome. btw its a 2006 325xi 6mt

i used ebay replica acs roof spoiler and an ebay OEM replica trunk spoiler and a used trunklid and lights. the conversion doesnt have to cost an arm and a leg to look decent.

i also figured id post up pics of the wiring for the lci tail lights since i had a hard time finding them on here for some reason. i did all the coding myself. which wasnt that bad i think the hardest part was trying to set my laptop to communicate properly but once that was all good the coding part was fairly simple.
drivers side plug assenger side plug and here is a pic of where i work since alot have been asking we love bmw! |

thank you sir! how did your conversion come out? if i remember you were doing a rear one as well no?
had one sourced from out of state through a salavage yard that my bodyshop does a lot of business with. Quote:
LOL everybodies opinion has been love or hate on those. my snow tires will be going on these and i will be going to the oem 17" 15 spoke wheels on the LCI i believe style 284 they are called. although i loved the slammed look on 19s. i am in and out of NYC on an almost daily basis and the roads are horrible down there and i dont want to sacrafice the ride quality. all you have to do is look for a set of 09-11 lci halogen lights. it is a direct bolt on. no coding no wiring changes. you plug them in and they work. i found mine very cheap used on ebay. i bought one side from one seller and the other from another. the more patient you are in your search the cheaper you can find. i believe places like EAS tuning sell the pair new for like 7 something or you can scour the for sale section and try to find someone who is upgrading to xenons. ive seen them here for 350 and up. happy searching!

I know it has been asked a million times before, but once fitted was it just a case of coding the LED tail lights and job done! no other expensive parts to buy??

i tried that. i didnt really like the look. also where i live the police look for any reason to stop and ticket you so i chose to set it back.
the trunk it self was the most expensive part to buy. i prefer sourcing used trunks as well for several reasons regardless if you find one the same exact color as your car (which i did not. the one i found was titan silber 354). 1 you get the lci led license plate lights with it. also you get the portion of harness so you can match up wiring easily and you will have the connectors for the led license light to make a clean conversion. plus you get all the necessary plugs to keep water out of trunk that i have seen so many over look when using a new trunk. and yes coding is all that is necessary.

Yes I am! Lol yeah I was getting upset because I couldn't find a LCI trunk and that GB for the CSL trunk was taking too long. I wanted to this conversion now! =) But now its done and I'm a happy man.
