Procede 1.47 Dyno results
Hey Guys
I just took my car for a Dyno to day damn good power from the procede well done guys even the owner of the shop was very impressed. Damn look at the Torque, I live in south africa so its all in KW and NM 292kw is 391HP and dont know about the 570 NM torque conversion. But i know all Dynos are different so im taking the Procede out today and going back for a standard compare on the same dyno but standard KW rating for the car is 225KW and 400 NM torque so it a damn good increase. Last thing the car was throwing a lot of CEL's on the dyno cant be the heat the highest the oil temp got was 130 Celcius thats 266 Fahrenheit but what iv noticed is the first CEL i got was when i changed to 1.47 from 1.45 SHIV is there anyting in the maps that could possibly make the car more liable to throw a CEL? The shop owner said the cats where smelling thats how much they restrict the flow in the exhaust and we going to do the exhaust system in 2 weeks. Now im wondering should i go back to 1.45 never had a CEL no matter how hard i drove the car?? What does eveyone think? |

Hope its that but i have gotten it once before driving on the motorway after installing 1.47 never had it at all with 1.45 but maybe shiv can give us some insight if there is anything that could make the car a little more likely to throw a CEL.

i take it its flywheel figures?
im very impressed, just from a plug in ecu to go from 300bhp to 390bhp is bloody impressive, the car must be absolutely stonking now!! did you import the procede? or do they sell it there in SA?? No uprated intercooler onyour car? what boost is it now running at what is stock boost? what is a cell?? excuse my lack of american/S.African terminology? get her down the strip i would expect to see mid to low 12 sec quarters at 110mph?!!! Carl

Yes its flywheel, its about a 33% increase and the shop owner said there is some turbo boost peak which i told him would be sorted out with ver 2 of procede cause at one stage it peaked 302kw but the average was 292kw, but then again i know from testing all my different cars over the years all dynos read different so ill try take it back with the standard mapping loaded and see the difference so we can see the real gains.

Good question. Why didn't you just measure the power at the wheels?

Ill ask the guys tomorrow when i take it for the standard run what conversion method they use and let you guys know, and also post power at the wheels.
SHIV - the car did throw the ABS and DTC errors but that was fine the only problem is it was going into limp mode every now and again and we had to turn the car off and on to carry on with the run, is there anything is 1.47 that could make it more likely for a limp mode cause i never had the problem with 1.45? Ill try the dyno runs with standard mapping and 1.45 mapping see if the car throws a limp mode? |

Coll SHIV thank for the reply the hood was open and the fan was on but it could have been getting a little hot, as long as there is nothing to worry about its cool, the shop owners also though it could have been the cats overheating cause they where smelling a little, hence they coming out next week TIME FOR THE CATBACK that takes me to my next question the downpipes if you made them 2.5" all the way will you sacrafice power instead of tampering from 3" down to 2.5"?

SHIV help me out with that exhaust question please m8.
They cutom buidling me exhausts next weeks he proposed a direct 3" pipe from the downpipes all they way through to the end. i thought that would be a little loud, if he made the whole pipe including downpipes 2.5" will it sacrafice power instead of using 3" downpipes tapered to 2.5"? |

The noise level depends on the mufflers mainly, not the pipe diameter. Tapering down from 3" to 2.5" may be costly in one-offs. = makes sense to have straight through 3". Iīve heard it fits, but I donīt have first hand experience. |
