and finally

NJMP Lightning - E46 M3 - 1:21.49

for apples to apples comparo, I had an instructor here. From my past experience, that accounts for roughly 1-2 seconds added.

You're taking T1 at 120mph? Are you hovering off the ground? You may want to check that vid and data sync

Too late to do anything on this but the 335 should be good for another 10mph on the main straight @ Lightning without a tune, prob another 5mph on top of that with a tune (on GPS, not indicated). That'll give you the delta you're looking for to catch that guy with the sick driving skills!

Otherwise good call on replacing the Boxster, the e46 is the right car!

Sounds like a true (ex) 335 owner. You are correct - I coasted on the straight due to fear of brake failure. I constantly had brake vibration issues somehow with that car.

It would have been really interesting to see how much faster it could be with good tires on that Boxster. But at this point I can't care less, HA!

And yea, I gotta do something about the GPS or maybe another DAS.

Chicken wire on the front bumper does wonders for aero and keeping that car planted over T1.

Speaking about brakes and that brake bias comparison test with your friend in the e90 M3 ...I'm still cleaning up dust from my 4off at that exact T1, what happened to all the nice grass that used to be there...
