Winter runflats

My granddaughter has just bought an 11 reg 5door 1 series and I would like to treat her to a set of used wheels complete with runflat winter tyres. Would 3 series wheels fit the 1 series, if they do then I could cast a wider net. Thanks for your help.

Winter runflats are pretty damn expensive. Are runflats a necessity?

Nothing is too expensive when my granddaughters safety is at stake.

Winter tyres, yes.
But run flats?

It depends on what wheels your looking at, as some will fit the 1er - namely the 16’s. However, the E9x offset is generally too wide to fit the 1er.

And as for RF’s, I’d certainly be switching to normals - I can’t comment for winters but from my experience the non-RF’s (normal) provide far better levels of grip and comfort.
