Street names on full screen map

Hello my fellow e9x fanatics. I recently picked up my new 2011 335i e92 coupe. One thing that has bothered me since I got the car, is that no where on the map does it display the street name of the road I am driving on. I know that I can go to split screen and have location view. But is their a way to have the road name viewed on the full screen map?

Try Interactive View.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately this still does not work. I guess the map does not have an option to show what road you are on. Unless in split screen of course.

If you zoom in close enough, you will see some names on the map. Try in perspective view as well.

I noticed something similar. It drives me crazy. The only way to consistently see the name of the street on which you are driving is to have the split screen on showing location.

What is your nav version? See the Options menu off the map screen, then select Navigation System Version.

Up thru 2010.1, if you zoom in too much, street names disappear! There is a zoom level sweet spot for each view for seeing street names, but seeing the name of the street you are actually on, is hard to get on a moving map.

This has been a major complaint about LCI Nav. You may even notice on split screen arrow display that long street names fade offscreen. They don't have adaptive font sizes.

My old GPS software running on my earlier ipaq showed the street you are on as a separate field on the bottom of the screen and my Honda Odyssey also always shows the street you are driving on, not on the main map portion of the screen itself (which you are correct, is always moving) but just as a footer on the bottom of the screen. The BMW Nav also seems to always take me on the most indirect route. If it can make me turn right and go around the block rather than just turn left and get there, it will do it!
