Do you need them coded again?
All of mine are -12 except for cyl 1 which is an -11. Just fyi. And no they didn't come from RockAuto...lol

Thanks man, had to change them 3 times so I ended up getting the coding SW installed on my computer. Only 3 of the refurbished units ended up being good, the others leaked. These new ones are working great however. Live and learn...

Just got my injectors from RockAuto, they are all -12 index.

Installed and coded them, and the car runs SO MUCH BETTER. Idle is way smoother, hard to tell the engine is even running now. Starts up better too.

Yes they do. Teflon seal is already on, they come with a protective cap (as the teflon seal expands within 5 mins). So pull the cap then install within 5 mins.

My first 3 I ordered from RockAuto were all -12. This batch of 3 I got 2 -12 and 1 -11.

I'm going to send the -11 back because if it was the same then -12 wouldn't exist

anyone know what the actual revisions consist of? I am looking at mine and 3 of mine are -7 and 3 are -9 dealer told me today that all 6 need replaced

I have a similar situation. Mine are -4 and -8. Dealer suggested I upgrade at a cost of $2400.

Do we need a decoupler for each individual injector? I'm not certain what these even do, can be reused, whatever they are.

I do not agree. I have compared new and used decouplers and they are identical. Contrary to common belief, they are not seals. They control the horizontal and vertical position of the injector tip. Unless they are damaged in someway, I firmly believe they can be reused without issue.

I figured as much kaigoss69.

For those who've gotten their injectors, were the 6 digits the same on each injector or were they all different? I'm torn between new at $900 since I need 8 or buying used Index 11 @ $35 each and teflon gaskets @ $3 but they've all got different six digit numbers that I'd have to code.

The sizing tool to put the teflon seal on is $200. Every injector is different and requires coding.

Yeah, after spending a few days talking to this guy and him finally mentioning that it required a special tool for the gaskets, I ordered new injectors this morning.

buy the rockauto set. i got index 12 and the boxes they came in all had a blank white sticker over another sticker. when i pealed back the sticker it was a BMW OEM sticker underneath.
