Difference B/t Lux 2.0 and Lux 3.0?

I searched the forums, but I couldn't find a clear answer. I want to upgrade from my pmb's to something brighter, that you can see during the day...What's the difference between Lux 2.0 and Lux 3.0? Pro's and con's if any?

3.0 is brighter than 2.0 (higher lumen rating)
3.0 has a different color temperature, i.e. 3.0 appears bluer than 2.0

in addition, 2.0 and 3.0 are hard to come by. Marc is not producing anymore 3.0s (unless he changes his mind). So if you can wait until some units to show up on the Marketplace or on Ebay, your best bet would be the PIAA or BREX alternative

there are conflicting reports, since PIAA came out with 2 (maybe more, but there are 2 that I know of) versions. However, in most account, Lux has been reported to be brighter than PIAA, however, there's one member, calvino, that thinks lux 3.0 is about the same brightness as the PIAA.

I love my Lux 3.0

Some of those group buy LUX threads are dead, so searches doesn't do too much help.

Just wondering what are the lumen ratings on all the different alternatives, anybody got some numbers?

When ppl say LUX 3.0 is brighter than PIAA, do they mean brighter than both PIAAs (esp the high intensity version)?

Difference. theres actually a lot of differences.
The LED's are different brands, both with similar efficiencies.
LUX 2 - about 6000k, LUX 3 about 7000k
LUX 3 has a higher output power unit so a higher overall brightness

also there are slight variations in the housing of them, lux 3 just looks cooler

LUX 3.0 is sooooo much brighter. And i saw the not complete installation. it was still a lot brighter!

LUX 4.0? I want to use Angel Eyes as DRL on e90 and DRL is required in Canada.... if there's super duper bright LUX 4.0 it'd be great! Cuz I realize DRLs in Canada are only slightly weaker than low beams.... and from photos I see of LUX 3.0 it doesn't seem to match DRL bightness that well....
