Feeler: OEM Sports / ZSP steering wheel with paddles and airbag

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I'm going for the M3 DCT steering wheel and am waiting for the paddle shifters to be released. At that point, I'll have a full set of Sports steering wheel available for sale. This would include:

1. OEM ZSP steering wheel (with air bag mount!)
2. OEM air bag
3. Steering wheel cover (with chrome strips on the sides)
4. Multi-function switches
5. Shifter paddles (in chrome)

This is perfect for those who want to go from non-ZSP to ZSP steering wheel since it come with the full package that you need to upgrade. PM for offers if interested.

FYI, price breakdown for the parts (from Tischer):
1. ZSP steering for paddles with airbag mount = 367
2. Air Bag = 630
3. Miscellaneous = 300

For those that think that I should have quoted QALBELI / AGE TUNING pricing, please notice that his wheels don't come with an air bag mount, so for those upgrading from non-ZSP to ZSP, you would not be able to mount the new airbag. The old air bag mount in the non ZSP wheel cannot be recycled and used in the new wheel. That's why Tischer pricing was quoted.

FYI, if you order on ebay from AGE TUNING, the steering wheel doesn't come with the AIR BAG MOUNT, so you won't be able to mount your airbag, coz you can't swap the non-ZSP airbag mount to the ZSP steering wheel......

There's a reason why Tischer pricing is quoted here because they will include the air bag mount.

You're persistent, huh? If you still don't understand, those are just reference pricing. I don't expect to get nearly as much money as brand new items. I just don't want to get those low ball $500 shipped PMs. This is a feeler, I have not set a price for them....... Jesus Christ!

Anyways, you're still wrong about what you said...... Let's try it one more time.

My steering wheel comes with the AIR BAG MOUNT, which looks like this:

This airbag mount is required to mount the ZSP air bag onto the steering wheel. No airbag mount, no airbag, got it? It's really that simple. People that have ZSP can trasnfer their mount from their old wheel to the new one. However, people with non-ZSP cannot. Many people have tried it and failed. Go look at the for sale section and see how many people are trying to buy this mount? You cannot transfer your non-ZSP airbag mount to the ZSP steering wheel. It simply won't work. This is from my personal experience mounting and dismounting a ZSP wheel in my old E90 non-ZSP 335xi. I speak from experience, where do you speak from?

What you can buy from ebay is this:

Notice how there is no air bag mount in there!?

Probably need to wait for BMW to release a retrofit program. I installed this setup in my E90 non-ZSP 335xi and the paddles were not plug and play. Tech said that needs version coding to work. I've seen people that got it working by their own wiring as well.

A couple questions:
1) this package is pretty much plug and play for non-zsp owners, correct?
2) do you have the thumb rests on this wheel?

1. Yes, 100% plug and play, but the paddles would not be function.

2. No, it does not have the thumb grips, it's the regular ZSP steering wheel.
