I don't have any experience with backend flashes, but from all I've read, ive been hearing great things compared to a piggyback like JB4 which is why a lot a people go with cobb, but JB4 does the job as well. Somewhere on the forums i've heard a stock 335IS set a record with just a BMS backend flash. Not too sure though. It doesn't have to be race gas either. race gas is just adding on to the power. Just like a JB4 adds power on pump gas, so will a flash.

Check out this video

I see here they have flash maps. In the 4/2/15 Map Release link, there is a file called "JB4_ILA0S_PUMP.bin". I believe that is for the 335IS/1M.

Hey guys just curious about tuning my IS

I am now FBO (stock is exhaust) and currently having wedge and Dimitri tune my car. Problem is I'm always having some issue that I'm always trying to correct. Makes me think if having a tune is worth it.

Is there ever a point in tuning where the car runs healthy without throwing codes and what not and I could enjoy driving it rather than worry about fixing it?

From my personal experience of having a custom tuned b5 s4...if there is something not right the car a custom tune will let you know what is not right and the car won't run right cause of it and you can't tune it oroperly. Hope this helps

What kind of issues? My car runs flawlessly on their tune.

My HPFP went bad after I was COBB OTS for awhile, but it had nothing to do with the tune. I have had the Wedge tune for awhile now with no issues.

I've been lurking around the Bimmer forums for awhile. Although I owned a Nissan Z33 350z, I was always intrigued with the crisp lines and performance of BMWs. It also didn't help my aggressive enthusiasm living five minutes away from AMS, and 20 minutes from IND Distribution and A&L Autobody. Then in college three years ago at the campus parking lot, came along an exclusive Leguna Seca Blue E46 M3 propelled by a blonde girl who was in my speech class and is now married to the son of the owner of IND and A&L Autobody. I remember the breath taking experience of hearing an E60 M5 with the SMG accomodated with an ESS supercharger howling down the streets of the shop that got me aroused. It became a goal since then to own an Ultimate Driving Machine. Three years later at 22 years old with a motivated work ethic and working a year at my adult job, I decided to trade the Z in for a sports car with slightly more room. As of Monday June 23, 2015, I was captivated by Sapphire Black Metallic 2012 BMW 335is in DCT and the red coral interior. I was revived.

Nice I went from silver stone 350z to a black sapphire IS to

I'm not blaming buraq or wedge, just saying since I started tuning it, adding CP, DP, FMIC, I've had to correct a lot of issues...just seems like I can't get car healthy enough to continue sending BA/Wedge data to get my tune down. It's annoying

What issues specifically? I am about to hit 39k on the odometer and after owning it for three weeks now, I've had the check engine light go off twice; one for injectors which all was resolved and replaced, then the other was from one of the coils which they replaced too. My luck from warranty has been a blessing but, what else should I consider?

I've replaced coils, spark plugs, and O2 sensors so far...as of now I have a small boost leak somewhere that's preventing me from hitting my boost goal...so far no issues, that I know of, regarding fuel injectors or fuel pump..my IS is at 30k so who knows that may be next

I have been running Cobb Pro-tune by Jake for 2 years. The car has been running very well, 370hp, 430tq on dyno. Had plugs and valve cleaning done. I have Cobb FMIC, ER charge pipe and Forge DV's, do not have DP's, from what I 've seen lots of people start throwing codes once they install DP's and then it snowballs... I'm ok with sacrificing 20hp for more reliability.

Another former Z33 owner here too. I miss being able to run 18x9.5 and 275's on all 4 corners. lol.

I've had little issues come up too, but so has my friend in her bone stock 2012 335is, so I don't think it's just the mods/tune causing it. It's still an n54 ... haha. Have you changed your plugs/coil packs/injectors? I'm tempted to do all of those soon just for peace of mind.

edit: missed your other post. i think dimitri would be able to tell you if there was something going on with your fueling/injectors/pump.

My best 1/4 mile times were turned shifting around 6,200 rpms. Our engines really fall off after that.

Congrats! The torque of the N54 in your 335is should be worlds ahead of the Z car. I had an Infiniti G35 Coupe with the 3.5L V6 and it was gutless. How many miles on your 335is?

On stock turbos about 5800 RPMs . Technically you would have to tested out a variety of shift points at the track to see which one gives you the best "traps speed"

It will upshift even in manual mode if you run it to redline.
