E91 M Sport Plus - Modified Grills

Hi guys, I am thinking about going a bit unconventional with the kidney grills on the E91 M Sport Plus I have just got. Due to it having full dechroming standard (trim, exhaust, anthracite rims, etc), I think that the grilles need some attention.

However, the M Sport Plus gets the full chrome grilles including slats which I sort of like, so do not really want to go for the full performance all black versions.

So I have come up with the idea of wrapping the outside of the grilles gloss black whilst keeping the chrome slats in situ.

I 'borrowed' some photos off another forum member and photoshopped the look I am thinking of achieving, I hope he doesnt mind. My car is currently at the dealership whilst I drive a new 520d M Sport.

What are your thoughts?

I went for the all black performance grills on my "plus" for that very reason, that odd bit of chrome stuck on the front just looked out of place, & the all black looks much better.

Doesn't look too bad and breaks it up a bit. If all you're doing is wrapping them its easy enough to reverse anyway
