alright so if i make enough money this month, I'm most likely going to purchase a set and talk to my mechanic about modifying the spindle as well as the heat shield. I also have to test fit this with my 17" OEM style 194M winter set before anything happens too. Hopefully it clears lol

Now im debating where to get them from. Since I live in canada, shipping sucks

My dealership quoted me $1700 + 5% Sales tax.
ECS Tuning: $1508.27 with shipping. I'm gonna say duties/ tax will be around $200
Tischer: $1,585.00 with shipping. and duties would probably be the same.

And it'll clear my oem 17 inch style 194M. I'm just that much closer now to getting them

Most likely gonna get it from my dealership so i wont have stupid "hidden costs" from UPS

$300 to ship, OUCH! Well, glad to see you're going through with this. I guess if you put enough money up, you can customize anything to fit. Hopefully the modification costs aren't outrageous to get these to work. Keep us posted on what your shop guys come up with!!!

REAR calipers

Hey Ray, I thought you would be interested in this.
I installed the rear callipers on my car. They are 135 stock callipers painted in the same colour as the fronts. however, they are the same as the performance callipers. Reason i bought these because i found a used set, so i could save some instead of going all new.

Some important notes you have to consider if you are doing this:

1. 135 rotors won't fit 328xi (thats what affects the handbrake)
2. performance rotors are the same size as the 328xi's, and not cross drilled, so i went with aftermarket rotors.

3. MOST IMPORTANT, the brake pads don't sit completely on the rotors, the 300x20 rotors are a bit small for these callipers. Therefore, only about 80% of the pad's surface are touching the rotors. If you could find a bigger rotor that fits, that would be a perfect setup. Other than that, no modifications.

I will run this setup for a few months to see how it goes. And meanwhile, i will look for a bigger rotor for the rear.

Wow!!
Thanks for the update! Glad to hear that no modification is needed! I think i'll get them sooner than anticipated! Let me know how it goes and if you do find a bigger rear rotor!

edit: Did you use the stock heat shields?

Yep, stock heat shields work perfectly.

I did quit some mods on the brakes, Motul RBF 600 racing brake fluid, ER SS lines, Drilled rotors and Hawk pads for the callipers. Gonna pick up the car tomorrow and see if there is any improvements.
