F1 LED brake light on pre-lci e92 canbus

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help.

I have an aftermarket defuser with an F1 style LED brake light, Ive pulled the wire through so it pops out near the rear drivers side (RHD) light cluster and tried poking the wires in various configurations (from wiring diagrams/threads) to no avail.

I’m wondering if this is possible without upgrading the rear lights to LED (Id rather not spend the £500 as the current bulbed units are fine). Is there a resistor or something I could wire in to get this working?

Any help would be appreciated.

Update on this. Got it working on the side lights, when unlock is pressed etc.

Need to spend a little more time probing wires to hit the brake combination.

If anyones interested when its completely working I can post some pics/how I did it on my pre lci e92.
