Arrow New car 123d - Gap Insurance

Ive done some research on these and decided to go with DirectGap for 5 years at £195.

Anything i need to consider or other companies i should look at?

Ive looked at:
- Direct Gap
- ALA
- WarrantyDirect
- HelpUCover
- Chris Knott (Forum)

Please help, I bought car yesterday from BMW dealers and preferred to be covered.

Thanks guys

BTW Few pics…

Nice new motor mate. I tested one of these before getting my 325i and was very impressed.

I went with ala for my gap cover.

Have you shown the quotes to the dealer? They usually price match.

I did tell them i can get it for £200 online and they were like we will leave that then kind of attitude.

Sales person wasn't great tbh.

I got my gap insurance from click4gap

They get good reviews and it took me literally 5 mins to setup online

if you can... just go with the one with BMW... cost a little more but never gave me any issues when claiming for warranty

Mate gap insurance is when the car is written off, got nothing to do with warranty ?

Frank Pickles is another option, took over Surf & Protect who were a big operator.

I got BMW to match the internet for 2 cars ... after silly quotes by them. This time I just didn't bother - and bought via ALA ... if BMW can't be sensible to begin with why should I bother when the likes of ALA have a good reputation and are cheaper.

Another vote for click4gap here, bought three policies from them over the years. Never had to claim though... Policy wording always seems to be as good or better than offered by BMW

I went with car2cover for my new car. Had a long chat with them before I signed up and they seem very good.
Got full vehicle replacement rather than return to invoice. That way you make sure you can buy the EXACT car again in the event of a right off as you get the full list price of the replacement car regardless of what you paid for the car.

Its also transferable to another car if you swap cars, unlike BMW gap which is dead the minute you sell your car. I also understand with BMW gap that the gap insurance company send the cheque to the dealer and you have to buy again with them and are tied in whereas with a policy like car2cover, you just get a cheque and you can buy what you want from where you want.
