JB4 Issue! Please help.

MAP1 / 5. 91 octane w/ octane booster added. BMS DCI / Active Autowerke CP/BOV

Has anyone experienced code 29db on their n54 with jb4 tune. It translates out to - 29db - Engine roughness, segment time management.

At high rpm the vehicle seems to misfire and rides very rough. Sometimes the SES light will clear itself and return to normal operation. I do not get this symptom when I'm running map 0.

I should mention that the problem is not consistent but does happen the majority of the time I floor the car. The JB4 pnp is brand new as well.

Here is a link to a video of the problem *toward the 50 second mark you can see on the tach how rough the vehicle is running/idling -

Tune up and see if problems go away start with plugs if problem persist start saw aping coils if the misfire follows the coil there's your issue if not the. Injectors can be bad most of the time when you run higher boost your parts will show the ware

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? I had similar issues so i examined my plugs they look worn and gap was way off after 27k. After I installed new set of plugs the roughness went away . This would be my third set. Just remember BMW recommends changing them around 40k stock engine.

Okay, I'm going to start with the plugs. That seems to be the biggest issue with new tuners. Now my issue is that BMW wants to charge me 25.01 per plug. Do you guys have any recommendations on a high performance plug set I can buy online?

I ran the car a few more times and it gave me a specific cylinder that was misfiring, 1. So i swapped the coil packs on 1 and 2 and I can't get the problem to come back now matter how hard I push the car. Maybe the pack was seated bad? It seems like a temporary fix so I'm still going to look into buying new packs and plugs. Thanks for the advice.
